Trinity Lutheran Church Child Care and Learning Center is a community service and outreach ministry of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Somerset, PA.

As a community service, the Child Care Center provides a safe facility, nurturing environment, and developmental education for children from six weeks of age up to and including the sixth grade.

As an outreach ministry, the Child Care Center provides a Christian environment and education that is consistent with the mission standards and doctrines of Trinity Lutheran Church, The Allegheny Synod and The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Trinity Lutheran Child Care and Learning Center strives to provide an environment in which children:

• Experience God’s love through nurturing relationships with staff, developing strong friendships with peers, and reinforcing a positive self image
• Experience a place of safety and belonging
• Participate in planned, age appropriate school readiness activities
• Discover, nurture, and appreciate creative expression
• Develop vocabulary and learn meaning through exploration of books, hands on experiences and conversations
• Cultivate a desire for knowledge and a love of learning
• Utilize their innate curiosity in opportunities for discovery and problem solving
• Learn to follow directions, work, and play cooperatively with others
• Make transitions from home to the school environment
• Respond to structure and direction from those outside of the home.

• Before/After School Care
• Partial or Full Day options for children six weeks to five years old
• Summer Child Care for school age children
